5) Well Said: Words to Live By

It’s not until this Friday, but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity of wishing my Irish friends and family the blessings of St. Patrick’s Day.

St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, lived in the 5th century and is credited with bringing Christianity to the people of Ireland. He died on March 17th, and the hundreds of parades around the country will celebrate his life, and allow Irish Americans to showcase their heritage and culture.

To my friend Máirtín Ó Muilleoir and the wonderful people of Ireland that I have met through him: Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig ar na daoine iontacha agus áille in Éirinn, agus do mhuintir na hÉireann ar fud an domhain.

For today, I wish everyone a Happy Tuesday!

Email is still the ruler of the marketing kingdom, delivering the best return on investment (ROI) of any other marketing tactic. But while email marketing may seem straightforward, there are some complexities.

The success of your email marketing campaign depends on the strength of your email subscriber list. The more consumers your reach, the better your chance to convert them into customers. But how can you best do that?

Read more and learn 10 creative email marketing tactics to help you grow your email list.

Women Business Owners Prove Resilient and Ahead of the Curve

Women-owned businesses have been hit harder over the last few years, but that hasn’t slowed them down, according to the latest findings from Meta. The data shows that more women entrepreneurs than men entrepreneurs used digital advertising tools, and those women-owned businesses experienced more of a sales boost.

Another area where women small business owners stand out is customer communication. Over 60% of entrepreneurial women have used digital tools to communicate directly with their customers, compared to 54% of men-led small businesses.

 How to Make Tough Decisions

An article in The Harvard Business Review asks, “What happens when you’re faced with a decision that requires a leap of faith?” Most people, the article continues, “want to turn and run from these kinds of decisions.”

Does that sound like you? It’s not your fault. According to the research, “our brains actively strive to reduce uncertainty about future outcomes to escape those feelings of discomfort and stress.”

The article offers five ways you can change this typical behavior.

  What Do Online Customers Want?

That’s the big question, right? If we only knew all the answers. Bolt, a checkout solution that helps businesses build a loyal customer base, says it costs five times more to attract new customers than retain the ones you have.

So how do you encourage your shoppers to keep coming back? Bolt asked consumers what they really care about when shopping online. The report details the different kinds (meet the “discount divas”) of customers and several ways to win their loyalty.
